The titles are well researched, and each text-heavy narrative is rife with statistics, quotes from experts, and anecdotes from real teenagers describing their experiences. However, these offerings do not seem to be directed at teen readers themselves; rather, they study them from a distance. In addition, some of the works contain photographs that might be considered unnecessarily mature: no worse than what's found on the Internet, but possibly inappropriate for some collections (for example, a photo of Miley Cyrus wearing a revealing costume). VERDICT While the series takes an in-depth look at the subjects, it's best suited for older students doing research. | ||
